On September 24th, it was revealed that Johnny’s Entertainment president Johnny Kitagawa (79) accepted an interview regarding his two Guinness World Record awards that he recently received and announced, “As a Guinness World Record holder, I want to have a show in Las Vegas.”
Regarding his two awards as “most No.1 singles produced by an individual”, he unveiled, “Of course, as [a label with] ‘no.1 in the world’, I am happy.”
Johnny Kitagawa is known to be highly mysterious by many in the industry as he continued to refuse his photo being released, “as a person working behind-the-scenes”. However, he has approved for his photo to be published exclusively for the Guinness World Record and sent in a photo of himself that was taken by his agency. Not only that, he also approved the publishing of this exclusive photo to various newspaper companies after Guinness releases their book.
As for his actions, he explained, “To start up an entertainment business overseas, I believe it will be best to start from Guinness.” Although he has numerous shows such as “Endless SHOCK”, “SUMMARY”, and “Shounentachi” nationwide, he revealed, “I want to have a show that fuses all the positive aspects of every single show in Las Vegas.”

Pocky CM - Ninomiya Kazunari [Arashi]

Arashi's Ninomiya has been chosen as the new spokesman for Pocky! Nino will be featured in a few CM's airing in Japan on the 20th. There will be two versions "Drink & Po" and "All".

The CM "Drink & Po" features Nino and 5 back up dancers, getting their groove on with MC Hammers "Can't Touch This". Though Nino's singing his own lyrics which are "Chanto aundesu" which roughly translates to "It matches fine"

SMAP in beijing

Prolific Japanese music legend Johnny Kitagawa has set two Guinness world records him as one of the most successful producers of music ever imagined.

His new records are for Most No.1 Singles Produced by an Individual (232), and Most Concerts Produced by an Individual (8,419).

Kitagawa has achieved the No. 1 position more often than any music producer with a record 232 chart-toppers for over 40 of Japan's bestselling groups (based on data for the period 1974 to 2010). 

He also holds the record for the most number of concerts produced by an individual having produced an amazing 8,419 between 2000 and 2010.  Concerts by Japanese mega-bands SMAP, KinKi Kids, ARASHI, KAT-TUN and Hey! Say! JUMP attracted an estimated 48,234,550 fans. 

His achievements, over a career commencing in 1962, have earned him the reputation as the most prolific "idol band" producer in the world.

Commenting on the new music records to make the 2012 edition Craig Glenday Editor-in-Chief at Guinness World Records, said: "Adele is a wonderful role-model for aspiring singers - and for all young people.
